Just wanted to say how much I’m enjoying your podcast. I just started listening but this weeks on finding your dream job really hit home. 6 weeks ago I started my dream job, and at a party over the weekend I had a small group of strangers entranced by my story of how I got there. I didn’t know it at the time but I employed many of the methods you used. Funnily enough, I left ESPN for a job in the wine industry - I’m way more passionate about Bordeaux than I ever was about baseball.
About writing down goals - Weight Watchers uses this and it is definitely a key factor in success. I should know, I have kept off 45 lbs for the last 5 years using this. So even if the Yale study is apocryphal, you can know that someone else has verified the success of this method.
